GÜBRETAŞ (Gübre Fabrikaları Türk Anonim Şirketi) was established with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated November 6, 1952, in order to increase the quality and efficiency of the country's agriculture by supplying chemical fertilizer input to the agricultural sector. It started production in 1954 with its facilities in İskenderun, which is the first chemical fertilizer factory in Türkiye. Since then, it has always assumed a pioneering role in its sector: It produced Türkiye’s first phosphate and compound fertilizer, established the first soil analysis laboratories, became one of the first 15 companies traded on the stock exchange in 1986, made very important investments for the sector and carried out important social responsibility projects.

GÜBRETAŞ, which has been collecting data on the soil structure of our country's agricultural lands since the day it established its first soil analysis laboratory in 1985, has been developing "plant and region-specific fertilizers" by benefiting from this accumulation. GÜBRETAŞ, which has started to seek investment abroad with the new strategy it has developed since 2006, continues on its path with the vision of "Being a global company that provides added value to its stakeholders".
