The Türkiye Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri dates back to the 'Memleket Sandıkları' established by Mithat Pasha in 1863.
1935
With the “Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri Law” numbered 2836, the establishment name and reason for existence of the 'Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri' were determined and their establishment was realized.
1936
“Tekir Farm Tarım Kredi Kooperatifi” was established in Silifke. Veteran Mustafa Kemal Atatürk became the founder and number 1 partner of this cooperative.
1952
Gübretaş, Türkiye's first chemical fertilizer factory, was established by the decision of the Council of Ministers in 1952. It started production in 1954 in its facilities in İskenderun.
1972
With the "Law on Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri and Unions" numbered 1581, it was possible to establish Regional Unions and Central Unions, and with the establishment of the Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri Regional Unions in 1975 and 1976, and the Central Union in 1977, it became a completely independent farmer organization.
1981
Tarım Kredi Tohumculuk A.Ş. was established in Istanbul with the aim of supplying, producing and selling all kinds of seeds for the Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri partners.
1985
With the law numbered 3223, Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri became the relevant institution of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry; and their supervision was also given to this ministry.
1989
İmece Plastik AŞ was established in Antalya for the purpose of producing plastic greenhouse covers.
1996
Currently known as Tarım Kredi Teknoloji A.Ş., it was established to meet the technological infrastructure and needs of our Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri and affiliates.
2005
With the amendment of the Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri ve Birlikleri Law No. 5330, cooperatives were made democratic and autonomous.
2009
Tarkim TARKİM BİTKİ KORUMA ENDÜSTRİSİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. was established in Manisa by the Central Union of Türkiye Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri and Regional Unions of Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri and Gübre Fabrikaları A.Ş. Tarım Kredi İmece Plastik A.Ş. started its operations in Aksaray with the production of irrigation systems with an installed capacity of 250 million meters.
2010
Tarım Kredi Tedarik ve Üretim A.Ş. was established in Mersin to market the products of farmer partners and other Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri affiliates.
2013
Tarım Kredi Yem A.Ş. was established to meet the production needs of suppliers in the feed and milk sector. Later, Tarım Kredi Süt A.Ş. was also incorporated into its structure.
2015
Tareks A.Ş. and Başak Yem A.Ş. were gathered under the roof of Tarım Kredi Hayvancılık A.Ş.
2016
Tarım Kredi Tarım Ürünleri Lisanslı Depoculuk A.Ş. was established in Ankara to provide cooperative members and other producers with the opportunity to store their crops safely, insured and healthily. İmece Plastik A.Ş. and TK Plastik A.Ş. merged under the roof of Tarım Kredi İmece Plastik A.Ş. Tarım Kredi İmece Plastik A.Ş. Bereket Emeklilik ve Hayat A.Ş., Türkiye's first interest-free Individual Pension Company, joined Tarım Kredi in 2016.
2017
Operating within the scope of insurance services, Bereket Sigorta A.Ş. joined Tarım Kredi in 2017. Tarım Kredi Lojistik A.Ş. was established in Ankara to meet the logistics needs of Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri and its affiliates. The first store of Tarım Kredi Kooperatif Market was opened in the retail sector in order to deliver natural and quality products purchased from farmers directly from the producer to the consumer.

In order to provide a dedicated service to consumers with a more widespread network, Cooperative Markets was established by the newly established Tarım Kredi Pazarlama Marketçilik A.Ş.
