Visited the Tarım Kredi stand
Kirişci, who visited the stands , met with sector representatives and officials of participating companies. Minister Kirişçi, who also visited the Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri stand, received information from Konya Regional Manager Fatih Zekeriya Yerlikaya about cooperative activities and the work of the affiliates.
the Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri participated in the 18th Konya Tarım Fuarı (Konya Agricultural Fair) with the technology subsidiary TARNET's ATS and ZİHA technologies that reduce farmers' input costs, Yerlikaya provided information to Minister Kirişçi about the projects. Pointing out that projects that will reduce input costs and increase efficiency in agriculture are important, Minister Kirişçi stated that they will support projects developed in this field as the Ministry.
“Producers and farmers are the crown of honor”
Kirişci, who stated that there is no sector in the country that the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, with its nearly 150 thousand employees, has not touched , stated that producers and farmers are the crown jewel and said, "While these meet the basic needs required for the nutrition, clothing and shelter of 85 million of us with their activities in the field of plant and animal production, they also feed the 5 million refugees, that is, guests coming from outside, in this country. Although there may have been a slight decrease in the number of tourists due to the pandemic, it is again our producers who shed this sweat and feed our guests, who fed over 52 million tourists before the pandemic. It is our food and feed industrialists who turn the products of these producers into added value. It is those who produce irrigation installations and systems. As if that were not enough, it is again these producers of ours who feed the countries that imported our products with their exports, just like this year, in the past years."
"We will become self-sufficient"
Kirişci pointed out that the producers are people whose hands are worth kissing and noted the following:
"We cannot be grateful enough to them. With the pandemic and the recent Ukraine-Russia War, we saw that the technology in our pockets does not satisfy us. Even if we have money, we cannot buy what we want. We can definitely get what we produce ourselves. Therefore, in the coming years, we will hopefully complete our deficiency in production-related products and become self-sufficient. I am talking about basic products, we call them 'strategic products'. These are flour, oil and sugar in Anatolian terms. When we look at the raw materials they obtain, we understand what they are. On one side there are grains, on the other side there are oilseeds, and on the other side there are beets. Are all three of these available in this region? They are. May God bless the people of Konya."
Minister Kirişci thanked those who contributed to the fair organization and the participants.
