Operating under the Tarım Kredi Pazarlama ve Perakendecilik branch of the Türkiye Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri and acting as a bridge between producers and consumers, the Tarım Kredi Kooperatif Markets continue to grow with the power they receive from farmers. The 205th branch of the Kooperatif Market was opened with a ceremony in Ankara.
Dr. Fahrettin Poyraz, General Manager of Türkiye Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri, wished the 205th store to be blessed in his speech at the opening and said; “Today, we are opening our 205th store here. Türkiye Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri is a farmer organization. It is a cooperative structure that serves our farmers with 17 Regional Unions, 1618 cooperatives, and approximately 25 affiliates. As in all world examples, Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri in Türkiye extend one hand to the farmer and the other side stands by the consumer. It is rapidly transforming its structure in terms of being a bridge between the producer and the consumer.”
Noting that they aim to open 300 Tarım Kredi Markets by the end of May and 500 by the end of the year, Poyraz said:
“At the same time, we will introduce Tarım Kredi products to our citizens on digital platforms, starting from big cities, in order to reach the consumer directly. Our basic sensitivity in this regard is to provide affordable products on the one hand, and to introduce our natural products to the consumer on the other. We are trying to minimize the problems experienced by the producer and the consumer. We will introduce both quality and affordable products to our consumers through Tarım KrediMarkets.”
"It will reach 500 branches by the end of the year"
TK Market General Manager Bayramali Yıldırım reminded that Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri are one of the deep-rooted institutions of Türkiye and said; “Parallel to the development of agriculture and cooperative logic in the world, Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri have also been in a transformation especially in the last 5 years. In this sense, while supporting Turkish farmers, Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri have taken their place in the market sector in the last three years by making the necessary transformation so that they can sell their products under better conditions and reach the kitchen of the consumer.”
Yıldırım stated that due to the extreme increase in prices in the last four years, Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri decided to take on a separate mission and open stores, and added that they closed last year with 162 stores and this year they aim to increase the total number of stores to 500.
Yıldırım emphasized that their strategies for the next 5 years are ready and noted that they aim to bring the Tarım Kredi Kooperatif Market into line with world standards and contribute to the society and farmers.
The ceremony was attended by officials from the Central Union of Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri, company managers, employees and many citizens. After the opening, General Manager Poyraz toured the store, chatted with shoppers and listened to their suggestions and demands.
