Kinay , General Manager of Tarım Kredi Yem Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., stated that they produce 5 thousand trucks of animal feed per month as a leading organization in the feed sector and said, “We have carried the success we have achieved in production and capacity to R&D activities.

The R&D center we established in Ankara in 2018 has taken its place in the sector and leads our laboratories established in 12 factories across Türkiye. In 2020 alone, the wet chemistry and NIR analyses we conducted in our factories and R&D center reached a total of 60 thousand analyses. This constitutes serious data and knowledge for our company,” he said.

Kinay , who evaluated the activities and goals of the Tarım Kredi Yem R&D Center, which opened its doors to Tarım Kredi Gazetesi , stated that the center meets a basic need in quality and R&D studies in the feed sector. Stating that they direct the production of 12 factories throughout Türkiye with the R& D center established in Ankara University Food, Agriculture and Livestock Technopolis, Kinay said, “In our R&D center, feed formula calculations are made to our Afyon, Balıkesir, Elazığ , Kırklareli, Yozgat, Sivas, Kütahya, İzmir-Tire, Sakarya, Şanlıurfa, Denizli, Amasya factories and feed formulas are sent throughout the year and production begins. Our priority is raw material analyses. According to the analysis results, the raw material is accepted or rejected. The accepted raw material is received by the factory. If rejected, the reasons for the rejection are communicated to the relevant company. We give credit scores to companies in this sense. As a result, TK Yem supplies the highest quality raw material at the most affordable price.”

“The feed industry’s largest laboratory network is at TK Yemde”

Drawing attention to the fact that TK Yem is the institution with the widest laboratory network in the feed sector, Kinay said, “In fact, there is not a single company in our nearby geography that has this equipment. We both prepare feed formulas and develop R&D projects with the means we have.” General Manager Kinay emphasized that they cooperate with many institutions while developing their projects, and said, “We are constantly working with Ankara University, Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. We have carried out projects with Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Our projects are also ongoing with Hacettepe University. We cooperate with TÜBİTAK-MAM in Gebze. We also have project-based cooperation with Cornell University in the USA .”

TK Yem General Manager Kinay stated that the tests of the formulas they developed in the R&D center were carried out in the R&D farm they established in Haymana,
“The raw materials purchased for the purpose of making feed in our laboratories are safely analyzed within the framework of quality control criteria, stored in relation to this purchase, and the produced feeds are checked to see if they comply with the feed criteria before they are released to the market. Thus, whether the feeds to be produced comply with the determined targets and formulas is monitored through the system,” he said.
